Biography
Lauren Faust grew up in Madison, Wisconsin where she discovered a love of the arts and the ceramic medium at a young age. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in ceramics from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire in 2007. After completing undergraduate studies she continued her education at the University of Florida, completing the post-baccalaureate program in ceramics from 2009 to 2010. Faust became a faculty member and artist in residence at The Doris Community Cultural Center in Gainesville, Florida from 2011 to 2013. While there she assisted with the development of the ceramic program, shared studio space, artists in residence program, arts education program and served as Gallery Director from 2012-2013. Lauren went on to teach ceramics at Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago from 2015-2017. She also taught painting and ceramics at Vippaints during this time. Lauren and her husband now reside in Nashville, Tennessee where she maintains a dedicated and diligent home studio practice while running and operating her small business LFaust Studio, creating both ceramics and watercolors.
